Thixotropy

The notion Thixotropy describes the property of non-Newtonian fluids to show

a time-dependent change in viscosity at constant shear stress; the longer

the fluid undergoes shear stress, the lower its viscosity. After suspension

of the shear stress, the product will return to its initial viscosity. The

term was characterized by the basic researcher Mr. Herbert Freundlich.
