Glue

Glue

An undefined narrower term for adhesives that are based on natural substances, but which can also contain synthetic substances such as cellulose ether and polyvinyl alcohol. The original glues include protein-based adhesives. The first glues (glutine glues) were derived from skin or bone. Casein glues were made from milk protein. Plant-based glues are starch glues, natural resins and latex (caoutchouc).
